Special Care Home Services

Is your loved one living in a Special Care Home? Your loved one would benefit from additional companionship and stimulation particularly if they lack regular social contact or live with chronic pain, illness, depression or dementia. If they lack appetite or ability to self-feed, Care-For-Seniors can make a big difference. We help with walking, routine, exercise, outings, feeding and a variety of engaging activities (reading, games) that suit our senior client’s interests.

Are you concerned about a senior loved one living in long term care?

We can help when:

  • A family member would benefit from additional companionship and stimulation. We serve clients who manage chronic pain or illness, lack social or family contact and require assistance with outings. We assist with walking, routine exercise, outings, feeding, and a variety of activities of daily living for these individuals.
  • A family member with dementia would benefit from consistent one-to-one contact with a caregiver at Care-For-Seniors. Our carefully selected and trained professionals are able to connect with those living with dementia, providing assistance during mealtimes, reassurance or one-on-one engagement in activity.
  • A family member is recovering from trauma after surgery, acute illness (cancer) or loss of a loved one. Interaction with a caregiving professional helps facilitate the personal healing that follows the losses typical of these traumatic experiences.
  • A family member in need of special attention to make the change to a new living environment. Our professionals help a resident settle into new surroundings & routine.
  • A family member needs encouragement to participate in a special event. Parties or outings create wonderful opportunities for meaningful contact with other residents, family or visitors. We assist your family member to help things go smoothly.
  • A family member is receiving palliative care. Working within a special care home staff team, our professionals can provide bedside care for a few hours – up to 24 hours per day. We have assisted several families in this way and count it an honor to care throughout the palliative journey.
